In the early hours of Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, a cluster of 3 tornadoes, including an EF-3 tornado with estimated 120 mph wind speeds, tore through Bowling Green, Kentucky. The National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park sustained a direct impact that caused catastrophic damage to the entire facility.
In the aftermath of the devastation, Traube was immediately called into action to provide temporary structures and services to a national client with operations in the Bowling Green area. NTAC responded within 48 hours sending crews on Sunday and beginning installation on Monday. The NCM team viewed, first-hand, the services and were impressed with the offerings installed in the Bowling Green area and immediately connected with NTAC.
NTAC was tasked with creating temporary space for guest check-in, retail area and classroom space to allow the facility to continue operations during their “road to recovery”. NTAC provided full PVC hardwall and Glass wall enclosures, interior gable dividers, LED lighting and glass doors. NTAC used their custom structure weight system to provide immediate installation without having to penetrate the ground surface. Once the temporary structure was installed and operational, the NCM team expressed interest in purchasing a custom structure. NTAC began the custom sales process and a new structure complete with glass, hardwall and doors was on order and later installed.
